OscillometryResistance vs frequency
Illustrative trace — not patient data.
Product-specific regulatory information
Product documentation, regional availability and intended use, stated per device.
Product status and documentation
US FDA 510(k) cleared · CDSCO approved (2022) · ISO 13485 · MDSAP.
Regional availability and intended use
Available in India and the United States. Intended for pulmonary function testing in adults and children.
Product status and documentation
US FDA 510(k) pending — not cleared · CDSCO approved · ISO 13485 · MDSAP.
Regional availability and intended use
Available in India. Intended for measuring respiratory impedance during tidal breathing.
Language note: a 510(k) is a clearance, not an approval. All copy and imagery should say “FDA cleared”.
How we evaluate performance
Our solutions are developed and evaluated using established scientific methods and industry standards. This section explains key aspects of our approach.
Measurement
We assess the accuracy, repeatability and reliability of our measurements across a range of conditions.
Test quality
We use objective quality criteria to support reliable and reproducible testing in clinical practice.
Clinical interpretation
Our tools provide clear, standardised outputs to help clinicians interpret results in context.
Charts are illustrative of method, not results from a specific study. Replace with real validation data before publication.

Specifications & standards
| Spirometry standards | ATS/ERS. Acceptability and repeatability implemented as automated validators: cough, early termination, incomplete exhalation, excessive extrapolated volume, cessation of airflow. |
| Oscillometry standards | ERS 2020 (King et al., ERJ 2020;55:1900753) — ≥3 accepted breath cycles, CoV ≤10% adults / ≤15% children. Conformance statement to be published. |
| Reference equations | GLI and ethnicity-aware Indian reference values, reported as Z-scores with lower limit of normal, plus derived lung age. |
| Interoperability | HL7 FHIR diagnostic reports · ABDM Health Information Provider · OAuth 2.0 / JWT |
| Device datasheets | Weight, power, connectivity and validated age range to be published for all devices. |
Frequently asked questions
View all FAQsWhere can I find regulatory documents?
Product status, quality system certification and regional availability are listed per device in the product-specific regulatory section above. For submission-level documentation, contact our regulatory team.
How do spirometry and oscillometry complement each other?
Spirometry measures airflow during a forced manoeuvre; oscillometry measures airway mechanics during quiet breathing. Oscillometry is sensitive to small-airway change earlier, and works on patients who cannot perform a forced manoeuvre. alveoflow® performs both.
Can I request technical documentation?
Yes. Specifications, software requirements, integration guides and sandbox access are available on request — contact our team.
Are Indian reference values supported?
Yes. The platform computes ethnicity-aware Z-scores with lower limit of normal against Indian reference equations alongside GLI, and derives lung age.

COVID-19 and respiratory recovery
Oscillometry and spirometry help assess lasting changes in respiratory mechanics after COVID-19 infection
Post-COVID respiratory symptoms can persist long after recovery, and small-airway changes may not appear in a standard spirometry result. Oscillometry measures resistance and reactance during quiet breathing, which is sensitive to peripheral airway change
Testing without forced effort
Patients recovering from severe infection often cannot produce a maximal forced exhalation. alveoflow® measures during tidal breathing, so assessment is possible when spirometry is not
Repeat testing on the same platform tracks recovery over months, with results held against one patient record
